Hello! I'm Deborah.

I'm a graphic designer who believes good design can do more than look beautiful—it can communicate a message, clarify a vision, and help open doors for churches to reach their communities with the Gospel of Jesus.

Having a background in graphic design and serving in ministry myself, I understand the importance of visual communication in the life of a church. I also understand that not every church has the budget or need for a full-time designer. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't have access to thoughtful, professional design that reflects who they are and helps them communicate effectively.

As I sought God's direction for how to use my gifts in service to the Church, I felt Him leading me to become a creative resource for churches and ministries beyond my own local congregation. Made for Ministry grew out of that calling—a way to come alongside pastors and ministry leaders, understand their vision, and help bring their message to life visually.

My heart is to use the creativity God has given me to serve the local church and help ministries communicate the message of the Gospel.

My Story

I've always loved creating—even from the time I was young. With a background in graphic design, I've had the opportunity to use that creativity in a variety of ways. In college, I was challenged by secular professors to think carefully about how I communicated through design. If I was going to produce work about Jesus, it needed to do more than look good. It needed to communicate thoroughly, thoughtfully, and effectively. That challenge has stayed with me throughout my journey as a designer.

After college, I began my career in graphic design, married my husband, Cody, and continued to develop my skills and create work that proclaimed the Word of God and encouraged people in their everyday lives. Over the years, our family grew to include our four wonderful girls, and my husband and I have since become ordained ministers in the Church of God. Through these different seasons of life, my love for graphic design and my heart for ministry have continued to grow together.

Serving in ministry has given me an even greater appreciation for the work churches do to reach their communities, disciple believers, and share the hope of Jesus. It has also shown me just how much visual communication matters in ministry.

A sermon series needs an identity. A youth ministry needs a look and a voice. An event needs something that catches attention. A church needs graphics that feel connected rather than thrown together from week to week. These details may seem small on their own, but together they help a church communicate clearly and consistently.

In August 2026, I felt God leading me toward something more: becoming a creative resource for churches that may not have the need or budget to hire a full-time designer, but still want to communicate the Gospel with excellence and intentionality.

That's how Made for Ministry began.

Made for Ministry was created to give churches access to thoughtful, relevant, consistent, professional design—providing creative support that fits their needs, resources, and season of ministry.

My goal isn't simply to make your church look good. It's to listen to your vision, understand your ministry, and create design that helps you communicate effectively who you are and what God has called you to do.

Because ministry design should share the same purpose as ministry itself: to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus.

And that's what Made for Ministry is all about.
